ABOUT JAMES
James Lim is a seasoned human capital strategist and senior consultant with over 25 years of global and regional leadership experience spanning public health, high-tech manufacturing, logistics, government, and professional services. He brings deep expertise in leadership development, executive coaching, and HR transformation, shaped by senior leadership roles at GE/SABIC, MMI Holdings, Development Dimensions International (DDI), Dymax Corporation, and the Ministry of Health Singapore.
At the Ministry of Health, James served as Deputy Director and Chief of Staff for the National Vaccination Operations Task Group, where he led a cross-agency workforce mobilization during Singapore’s COVID-19 response—earning both the National Bronze Award and the COVID Resilience Medal.
In his corporate roles, James has led large-scale HR transformation initiatives. At GE/SABIC, he spearheaded regional HR strategy and leadership competency frameworks post-merger. At MMI Holdings, he led corporate HR integration and talent system renewal across multi-business entities. At Dymax Corporation, as Chief Human Resources Officer, he oversaw global HR strategy, built integrated performance management systems, and strengthened leadership pipelines across Asia, Europe, and the U.S. As General Manager of DDI Asia/Pacific, James directed consulting operations and leadership assessment delivery across the region.
James teaches interdisciplinary undergraduate courses at Nanyang Technological University and coaches future leaders through NTU’s Impactful Student Leadership Program. He is also a certified WSQ trainer and facilitates customized executive leadership programs for senior teams and new managers alike.
James holds an MBA (HR & Marketing) from the University of Leicester and a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Leadership & Innovation from Boston University. He is a Registered Management Consultant, Certified Global Remuneration Professional (WorldatWork), Certified Assessor (Marshall Goldsmith GL Assessment), and has completed advanced leadership programs at Wharton and Harvard.
