Koh Shin is a founder of the Kosh Consulting Group and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. He is directly responsible for establishing the strategic vision of the Kosh Consulting Group in all its business areas, and in guiding its execution. He is also directly involved with the complex consulting initiatives of the firm, and in establishing and maintaining close relationships with the firm’s top clients.

Koh Shin has extensive experience consulting in large organizations, beginning in 1988-92 when he served as a Field Psychologist in the Applied Behavioral Sciences Department (ABSD), Ministry of Defence, Singapore. He subsequently served as an Officer-in-Command in the Singapore Armed Forces 2nd Infantry Regiment, and concurrently as the Organizing Secretary of the SICUS Sub-Committee of the Singapore 1993 National Day Parade.

In 1994 he was appointed Head of the Republic of Singapore Air Force Aviation Psychology Branch, where he was involved with assessment and selection work, and was instrumental in establishing a world-class computerized psychological testing system. In 1995-97, he returned to ABSD as a Senior Psychologist and Head of the Air Force Section. In that capacity, he was deeply involved in work related to survey-research, 360-feedback, organizational development, assessment and selection, as well as psychological debriefing.

In 1997 Koh Shin succumbed to a bout of insanity and departed the consulting world to make a name for himself in the bright lights of the financial industry. He joined Merrill Lynch International Bank (Singapore) initially as a Financial Consultant, and subsequently as a founding member of its Investment Advisory Group. In 1999 he went on to the Citigroup Private Bank as a Senior Investment Advisor, providing investment advice to high networth clients in South Asia.

This was followed by a stint in 2001-07 in the JPMorgan Private Bank, initially as a Senior Investment Advisor, and subsequently as its Head of Investments (South Asia) where he was responsible for all of the bank’s advisory and discretionary investment business. He next moved to UBS AG as the Head of Products & Services Consulting (Key Clients), followed by a tour as an Executive Director and Senior Private Banker in Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (Singapore).

Koh Shin graduated from the University of Sheffield (U.K.) with a B.Sc. (Honors) degree in Psychology, under a Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Merit Scholarship. Koh Shin holds the military rank of Major.
